Happy Birthday Brady!

Yesterday was Brady's 4th birthday!!! It's really amazing how fast these last four years have absolutely flown by! To celebrate his big day Brady decided he wanted to go to Space Aliens (think a mild version of Chuck E. Cheese with better food and terrific alien/outer space themed decor) for dinner. He also chose a Dairy Queen ice cream cake for his special treat. It was a fun day!
Nothing better than a new hot wheels set!

Play-doh is ALWAYS a big hit!

His very own scooter!

Run Caleb, Run!

Today was the official Mile Run Day for fall at Caleb's school. Yes, they now make elementary children run a mile, twice a year, starting in 1st grade, for whatever reason... Thank goodness we never had to do that when we were that age! Anyway! Caleb is a very competitive boy, and quite the runner, so he was very excited to attempt to beat his record of 7 minutes 43 seconds (which is already pretty darn awesome if you ask me!). Mommy, Daddy and Brady arrived just in time to see all the kids getting lined up and reminded of the rules and to pace their speed so they don't get worn out too quickly. "Ready, set, go!" and off they went! 50+ 2nd graders running their little legs off! Caleb and his friend Gage, who is his main competitor (they ALWAYS try to beat each other!) quickly pulled ahead of the pack. On the end of the 2nd lap, Caleb took a little digger but rolled with it and popped right back up and continued on like a true champ! As he rounded the last turn in the final lap he burst into full on sprint mode and crossed the finish line FIRST out of two classes! Very exciting! Gage came in second right behind him! His final time was an incredible 7:36!!! He beat his previous record AND came in first! Needless to say he was beaming from ear to ear with pride! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the camera to capture this momentous occassion (DARN IT!!!)... but even so, it was a very fun and hopefully memorable event! Way to go, Caleb!!!

November Baby?

I had a doctor appointment this morning...just a routine check-up. Everything is fine and dandy. We discussed the possibility of me being induced early to prevent an "overly large" baby... As previously pointed out and well proven, we do not make small babies in this family...Caleb and Brady were both over 9 pounds (as was I and all my siblings) and of course Noah and Micah are blue ribbon, grand champions of scale tipping! So! As long as everything is going well and there is no cause for concern, we are now scheduled to be induced November 20th!!! Yes, it may seem a bit early... However it is only 11 days from the actual due date and my doctor assured me there is really no reason to wait that last week or more if everything is going well. As of today, my measurements put me right on target as far as size goes. So, we shall see! I'm super excited, as it means 11 days less to wait and 11 days less of feeling uncomfortable! We'll keep you updated as the next few weeks roll by!
